Jaguar E Type Original Colors 1961-1974

A true Jaguar E type is the one that is in fact as original as the day it rolled off the assembly line.

Through the life of an E type, it can change hands many times and with that in mind the new owner either maintained the color according to its originality, thus maintaining or increasing its historical value or changed it to his personal taste and unknowingly depreciating the car´s value.

Remember that up until 1973 a customer could order an E Type Jag in any color, in addition to the regular colors available.

At the present time the Jaguar E Type lover and/or investor knows that the more original this iconic car is as it rolled off, the more valuable it will be and therefore a greater return on the investment and of course pleasure.

Love the hub! Old E-Types were works of art. I will come and spend some more time reading the links. I have built a "D" type motor from an E type, profiling the camshafts and making my own shims. I love the heads on early jags, although they were not bullet proof, the did allow the inline six to produce nice torque down low, and great horsepower for the time. Thanks for a great read. The information about jag paint is excellent and will be very useful as well.
